Priorities

These are just a few of the important issues that have been raised in my neighborhood meetings across the district. If you have other issues you would like to bring to my attention, please feel free to contact me.  Your opinion matters to me!

  • EDUCATION

I strongly support fair and equitable funding of public schools.

The current funding system for public education in Pennsylvania needs revamped and I will fight with all I’ve got to deliver better resources to public schools in this district and help solve this problem.

  • HOUSING

Lack of affordable housing has negatively impacted both sides of the river.

I will take a proactive and collaborative approach to create more statewide incentives and funding programs that encourage more affordable housing in our communities.

  • WOMEN'S HEALTH

I unequivocally believe in a woman’s right to access reproductive healthcare and that medical decisions are private and should stay between the individual and their doctors.

I will support legislation aimed at keeping abortion safe, legal and available in Pennsylvania.

  • WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Four-year college degrees are not the only pathway to a fulfilling and lucrative career. I would work to encourage and promote other training programs like paid apprenticeships through the building and construction trades that will provide our region with a talented and highly productive workforce which will encourage well paying jobs in our region.

  • FIRST RESPONDERS

As the Chair of Public Safety on Camp Hill Borough Council, I have seen first hand the struggle to recruit new talent in our volunteer fire department.

I intend to foster relationships with volunteer and professional fire departments in the district to determine a regional solution to address the firefighter shortage many communities are facing.

I would also support adopting a generous statewide tax credit for volunteer firefighters, EMTs and paramedics to encourage recruitment.

  • VIOLENCE PREVENTION

As a responsible gun owner, I will advocate and support widely popular common-sense legislation such as:

Red Flag Laws that allow law enforcement to take guns out of the hands of those deemed to be dangerous by the courts.

Requirements to report lost and stolen weapons.

Raising the minimum age of assault weapons sales from 18 to 21.

Universal background checks for all gun sales, including private sales and at gun shows.
